Builder canon.
A reading list for builders is only useful if it is organized around actual decisions a founder has to make, not around which books are currently trending. The real test for whether a book belongs on a builder’s shelf is simple: did reading it change a decision you actually made, or did it just make you feel like you understood something for an afternoon.
A ranked list of ten specific titles, with the reasoning for each ranking, is still being finalized rather than published half-considered. What is already real and already on the shelf this list is being built around: UpTurn 2, co-authored in 2020, walking through the failures behind the receipts rather than a curated highlight reel of wins.
Two more books are in active draft right now: The Secret Power of Becoming Amazingly Unstoppable and The Big Secrets of Building Big Money Machines. The canon grows honestly, one finished book at a time, as they actually ship, rather than being padded out with titles only sounding impressive on a list.
