Curaçao Tech Meetups — the Caribbean’s award-winning tech & AI conference.
Founded in summer 2018 as a grassroots initiative for a durable Caribbean tech ecosystem. Aligned with 9 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals from day one. Officially recognized as a national event since 2019, with the Central Bank of Curaçao as flagship venue every year since.
From 220 attendees and 1 speaker in 2018 to 1,311 attendees and 35+ speakers in 2019. The 2024 edition ran 8 days across 7 venues with 24+ speakers. The 2025 edition was officially named Curaçao’s Leading and Award-Winning Tech and AI Conference.
Sub-platforms include #WomenInTech (57% female attendance, 50% female speakers), Kids Tech Days, Youth Masterclasses, Business & Bitcoin Villa, Tech Bo Wela (intergenerational), Future of Aviation at Hato Jet Center, and the Tekiamentu Podcast.
2026: BUILD & PRESENT Edition — a focused two-day special edition. BUILD on 1 September at Blue Naps (Tier-4 Data Center). PRESENT on 2 September at the Central Bank of Curaçao. 2027: The Agentic Enterprises Edition — an 8-day return to expanded format centered on autonomous, intelligent technology systems.
Institutional partners: Central Bank of Curaçao, Ministry of Economic Development, Algemeen Pensioenfonds van Curaçao (APC), Sentoo, Blyce, Blue Naps, Mensing Caminada, and the Curaçao Jet Center at Hato Airport.

Adric Walter is a visionary entrepreneur and Azure cloud architect with more than 28 years of experience building digital systems. Computer Science graduate with specialization in business software engineering, started programming at age 11. Founded WALTERIONS in February 2021 — a boutique consultancy delivering Azure architecture for FinTech, enterprise, and government clients including Rabobank, PGGM, ASR, Vesting Finance, Siemens, Schiphol Airport, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Dutch Ministry of Internal Affairs and Kingdom Relations.
In 2018 founded Curaçao Tech Meetups (TECHMEETUPS.CW), growing it from 220 attendees and 1 speaker in its inaugural year to 1,311 attendees and 35+ speakers the next — aligned with 9 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Spinoff initiatives include #WomenInTech, the Curaçao 3D Printing Taskforce, and Kids Tech Saturday.
